We all know that Immigration is a complicated subject with strong opinions from both sides, but human rights should trump that political fight. Men, women and children fleeing their troubled homeland or trying to re-connect with their families, die of dehydration while trying to cross the desert. The primary goal of Border Angels is to save as many lives while raising awareness about the current immigration issues in the US.

A group of about 50 volunteers drove from San Diego into the Imperial Valley armed with 2 gallons of water each. We stopped at Jacumba before continuing deeper into the desert where we'd hike along an old riverbed used by immigrants to cross through the desert. In total, we dropped about 100 gallons of water along a 2 mile stretch of that path. Although these water drops in-and-of-themselves don't hope to solve immigration issues, they do save lives and buy time for the political class to come up with solutions!
