On Thanksgiving Day, I volunteered with Mama's kitchen and delivered meals to their clients. I regularly volunteer with Mama's Kitchen and am grateful I had the opportunity to help over the holiday. All volunteers meet at the kitchen where the food is ready to be picked up. Each client gets one large bag filled with food and one hot meal. Of course the hot meal included turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy in honor of Thanksgiving!

Mama's Kitchen has an annual fundraiser, called Pie in the Sky (http://www.mamaspies.org/), where they sell pies for Thanksgiving. Customers can purchase pies on behalf of Mama's Kitchen clients so each year every client gets a yummy pie to go with their Thanksgiving Day meal. Once I packed up my car with all food and pies, I headed out to drive my assigned route and deliver all of the meals to each client. It was great to be able to visit the clients and provide them with their holiday meal!
