UL Rated Fire Safes

When it comes to rigorous testing, few can compare to the UL. By purchasing a UL rated safe, you know exactly what to expect in real world situations. The UL uses a special furnace chamber and heats a safe on all six sides during the testing process. Then the safe is exposed to a controlled explosion to rate how well the safe performs during sudden, dramatic changes in temperature. Finally, safes that claim impact and drop resistance are dropped 30 feet. Fire protection ability is recorded before, during and after the drop. This information allows UL to accurately predict real performance in regards to fire resistance. Internal temperatures are measured, and classifications are assigned from there. So in short, UL certification is a very reliable indicator of quality and protection.
